God is available to be the comforter, healer, provider and encouragement that each of us needs in our lives. WHEN SHOULD I CONSIDER COUNSELING?
| Why would you wait? If you are sick, you would see a doctor. So if you are distressed or anxious, why not see a counselor? Seeing a counselor never means that you are incapable of solving your own “issues”. Seeing a counselor allows you to gain a different insightful and experienced perspective into your situation and possibly provide you with just the right guidance that you need. We have met many people with different situations in their lives or going through different circumstances that hoped that ignoring the problem would cause it to go away or somehow be resolved. What we have learned is that the exact opposite occurs. Naturally a problem that isn’t addressed gets worse. WHY CHRISTIAN COUNSELING?
| Each client's situation is different and though our goal is to help resolve issues as quickly as possible for our clients, we are willing to spend as much time as possible working through all aspects of life's problems and providing in depth biblical guidance and foundation for resolution. The length of any counseling engagement depends on the client. |
| Our goal is to provide our clients with an alternative method of getting help other than constant medication. We do our best to work with our clients to find the best solution for them. If that solution means a visit to a physician or psychiatrist is necessary, we will recommend one to our client. However, we hope and pray that at other times, our clients are able to work through their issues through counseling alone without the help of medication. In any case, counseling is recommended to work along with medication to get the best results for you - the client. |
