When you’re sick, you see a doctor. So when you’re distressed, you should see a counselor.
Healing, peace, and hope are available for every person — especially you!
Why counseling matters.
We know that things get so difficult when trying to figure out what comes next in your life. Your ability to cope with circumstances, brokenness, and decision making is overwhelmed by stress, strain, and strife. Christ-centered counseling can provide true restorative benefits.
Seeing a counselor never means that you are incapable of solving your own “issues”. Visiting with one of our counselors will simply allow you to gain a different, insightful, and experienced perspective into you situation – and possibly provide just the right guidance and direction you need to experience healing.
There are many people who go through life’s difficult circumstances with a misguided perspective that ignoring the issue is a method for resolution. Unfortunately, it is the exact opposite that occurs. Naturally a problem that isn’t addressed just gets worse. If there is something in your life that you cannot get a hold of or has you up at night worrying and anxious, you’ve come to the right place.
Christ-centered
Life is full of worries, uncertainties, and stress. The only constant variable in our lives is God.
God doesn’t make empty promises. His word is His covenant and He keeps His word. All of the counselors at Family Christian Counseling Center have faith in God and rely on the infilling of the Holy Spirit for guidance. We pray for Godly wisdom and discernment in every situation that we come across. We also encourage our clients to pray.
God is available to be the comforter, healer, provider and encouragement that each of us needs in our lives. When you stop seeing God as the vengeful judge of humanity and start seeing Him as a loving, caring Father who wants nothing but to love you, you will again find hope. From the scriptures, you can be assured that God will give you the wisdom you need when you lack it, but sometimes He uses other people to also participate with you in this process. Hopefully, we can help show you the way.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
